Physical Requirements 
The physical requirements for this position include regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with repetitive motion (such as typing); occasionally pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 50lbs; and occasionally traveling for work related purposes.
Shift  | Monday-Friday; 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; As an exempt level position, evenings, nights, and weekends will be required to meet departmental needs.

Job Summary 
The ITS Admin Applications Director is a strategic and operational leader responsible for the full lifecycle management of healthcare administrative applications at UK HealthCare. This role provides vision, direction, and oversight for the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHR-related systems and supporting IT solutions that drive clinical and business excellence. Serving as a key member of the UKHC IT Leadership Team, the Director collaborates across executive, clinical, and operational leadership to align IT capabilities with organizational goals. This role leads cross-functional governance groups and integrated subcommittees to ensure cohesive content and workflow integration across diverse healthcare systems. The Director manages application strategy, quality planning, system development lifecycle (SDLC) compliance, and issue resolution for a range of systems including document management, third-party EHR tools, medical staff and nursing support applications, and core administrative platforms. The position is responsible for removing roadblocks, escalating key issues, and delivering seamless, integrated system experiences. This leader plays a critical role in shaping and executing the UKHC IT strategic plan, enabling scalable, cost-effective, and digitally connected care across a large and complex health system. The Director fosters a culture of innovation, accountability, and service excellence, while developing trusted relationships with clinical, business, and IT stakeholders across the enterprise and affiliated organizations.

The ideal candidate will have the proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and large-scale IT initiatives; strong decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize in a complex healthcare environment; deep understanding of the Epic and other applications systems; knowledge of healthcare operations, compliance, and clinical workflows.
