Instructional Designer, GTM Enablement

Position Overview
The Instructional Designer, GTM Enablement is responsible for designing and delivering high-quality learning experiences that support onboarding, product enablement, and ongoing skill development across the GTM organization. This role partners closely with Enablement, Sales, Pre-Sales, and Product stakeholders to translate business priorities into engaging, practical learning solutions that drive seller effectiveness.

This individual leverages modern instructional design practices, including the use of generative AI, to accelerate content development and enhance learner engagement. The focus is on execution excellence, scalability, and continuous improvement of learning assets that support performance in the field.

Within UKG, you would be part of the GTM Enablement team which plays a critical role in bringing this mission to life. This is a team that sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, helping our customer-facing teams deliver value with clarity, confidence, and consistency. Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop blended learning solutions across onboarding, product enablement, and skill development programs.
  • Translate sales strategies, product capabilities, and methodologies into clear, structured, and engaging learning experiences.
  • Partner with Program Managers and subject matter experts to define learning objectives and instructional approaches.
  • Apply instructional design frameworks and adult learning principles to create effective, learner-centered experiences.
  • Build interactive learning content across digital, virtual, and instructor-led formats using modern authoring tools.
  • Leverage generative AI tools to accelerate content development, including drafting materials and creating learning activities.
  • Update and convert existing training materials into modern, engaging learning experiences.
  • Incorporate feedback and learner data to refine and improve learning content.

Basic Requirements: 
  • 4 to 7 years of experience in instructional design, enablement, or learning experience design.
  • Strong foundation in instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
  • Experience designing blended learning solutions across digital and instructor-led formats.
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, engaging, and learner-centric content.
  • Experience using modern authoring tools and learning technologies.
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools to support content development workflows.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience in sales enablement or SaaS environments.
  • Exposure to global learning programs and distributed teams.

The pay range for this position is $90,900.00 - 145,000 annually, with the opportunity to significantly increase total earnings through a performance-based incentive compensation plan. The plan may provide for the payment of commissions and restricted stock unit awards as part of total compensation.  The base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and work location.
