The primary responsibility of the Learning and Development Specialist is to assist with defining and executing learning and development initiatives for colleagues within the organization. The Learning and Development Specialist will support the firm establishing, developing, delivering, and documenting programs and processes necessary to engage individuals in learning opportunities that support individual growth plans and insurance-specific knowledge, in alignment with overall firm talent development goals.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide administrative and colleague support for learning systems and content libraries, including LMS administration, troubleshooting, content updates, and records maintenance.
- Facilitate and support engaging trainings, orientation sessions, onboarding, and cross‑divisional learning experiences for colleagues.
- Coordinate, track, and support new hire training plans, serving as a backup facilitator as needed.
- Assist with planning, organizing, and proctoring leadership development programs, including Pathfinder and other development initiatives.
- Support the Human Systems Team (HST) with event logistics, training sessions, team builders, and learning-related coordination.
- Create, update, and maintain internal training content, materials, communications, calendars, and L&D portal information.
- Coordinate and manage external learning offerings, vendors, licensed content, coaching programs, and partnerships, including engagement and quality assurance tracking.
- Collect, analyze, and report participant feedback, attendance, and learning data to support continuous improvement and leadership updates.
- Process training-related applications, OJT documentation, reimbursements, expense allocation, and track individual L&D investments.
- Utilize team tools to manage projects, support colleague development and engagement initiatives, travel to regional offices as needed, and perform other duties as assigned.
Credentials:
- A four-year degree preferred.
- Two to four years of previous experience in Learning & Development or Human Resources (HR) is required.
- Experience with Copilot, Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and proficient PowerPoint functions required.
- Experience in Learning Management Systems administration preferred.
- Experience in building presentations and curating training content.
