NCLEX Success Coach (Nursing Academic Support)
Stanbridge University is seeking a student-centered NCLEX Success Coach (Nursing Academic Support) to support nursing students in achieving readiness for the NCLEX-RN examination. This role combines academic coaching, structured remediation, and data-informed support to improve student outcomes and licensure success.
Working closely with faculty and program leadership, the NCLEX Success Coach identifies at-risk students, develops targeted support plans, and delivers individualized and small-group interventions that strengthen clinical judgment, test-taking strategies, and overall academic performance.
This position is ideal for educators and clinicians who are passionate about student success, enjoy working directly with students, and excel in a structured, outcomes-driven academic support environment.

Essential Functions
Student Support & Coaching
  •  Provide individualized and small-group academic coaching to support NCLEX readiness 
  •  Deliver targeted tutoring sessions and structured workshops focused on test-taking strategies and clinical judgment 
  •  Engage students in reflective learning and critical thinking development 
  •  Support students in developing effective study plans and academic habits 
ATI Integration & Academic Support
  •  Oversee ATI implementation for assigned cohorts, including account management and performance tracking 
  •  Develop NCLEX-aligned study guides and structured remediation materials 
  •  Facilitate ATI Capstone and Virtual ATI participation in coordination with faculty 
  •  Promote consistent use of ATI resources across the curriculum 
Data Analysis & Remediation Planning
  •  Analyze ATI performance reports and internal assessment data to identify learning gaps and trends 
  •  Develop and implement data-informed remediation plans aligned with course objectives and NCLEX test plans 
  •  Monitor student progression toward NCLEX readiness benchmarks (e.g., Virtual ATI “Green Light”) 
  •  Proactively intervene when performance indicators suggest risk 
Collaboration & Program Support
  •  Collaborate with faculty to reinforce ATI integration in classroom and clinical learning environments 
  •  Provide supplemental instruction aligned with established course content when appropriate 
  •  Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives related to NCLEX outcomes 
  •  Maintain accurate documentation of student engagement, remediation activities, and progress 
Performance Expectations
  •  Utilize ATI analytics and cohort-level data to guide academic support strategies 
  •  Identify at-risk students early and initiate timely, structured interventions 
  •  Maintain consistent documentation of student progress and remediation efforts 
  •  Collaborate effectively with the Director of NCLEX and faculty to adjust strategies 
  •  Contribute to measurable improvement in student preparedness for the NCLEX-RN examination 

Qualifications
Required
  •  Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher from an accredited institution 
  •  Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (BRN) 
  •  Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience in a pre- or post-licensure nursing program 
  •  Minimum of four (4) years of direct patient care experience in medical-surgical nursing within the past five (5) years 
  •  Experience supporting student learning outcomes, remediation, or academic coaching 
  •  Working knowledge of ATI or similar NCLEX preparation platforms 

Preferred
  •  Experience using ATI analytics to guide academic interventions 
  •  Familiarity with NCLEX test plans and clinical judgment models 
  •  Experience supporting at-risk or academically vulnerable students 
  •  Experience with NCLEX preparation platforms such as ATI, Kaplan, HESI, or similar 
  •  Strong coaching, communication, and organizational skills 

Schedule & Work Structure
  •  This is a full-time, on-campus position with a typical Monday through Friday schedule 
  •  The role includes regular direct student support through individualized coaching, small-group instruction, and workshops 
  •  Student support may be delivered in person or virtually, depending on student needs and scheduling considerations 
  •  Flexibility is required to accommodate student availability, which may include occasional early, extended, or weekend hours 
  •  Remaining time is dedicated to data analysis, remediation planning, collaboration with faculty, and preparation of instructional materials
