Position Description

The PASOs Business Manager, under the supervision of the PASOs Executive Director, is responsible for the financial management, human resources (HR) transactional actions, and administrative operations & support for PASOs. This position, as part of the PASOs Executive Leadership Team, coordinates with directors, managers, and grant Principal Investigators (PIs) to develop budget projections and plans. Responsible for the fiscal management, reporting, and oversight of all federal, state, and foundational grants &/or contracts, revenue/expenditures for PASOs, financial records, while ensuring data integrity using PeopleSoft Finance, Finance Intranet, PeopleSoft HCM, the Educational Foundation Reporting Express, and PeopleAdmin for HR actions.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience  | Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Responsible for the fiscal management, reporting, and oversight of all grants, federal, state, and foundational grants and/or contracts revenue funds, while ensuring data integrity using Peoplesoft Finance, Finance Intranet, Peoplesoft HCM, and the Educational Foundation Reporting Express. Monitoring of expenditures for compliance. Provide pre- and post-award assistance to Principal Investigators in the development of budgets and narratives; submissions of requests for no-cost extensions/prepare re-budgets via USCeRA; and request risk accounts as needed. At minimum, meet monthly with department directors for budget meetings to discuss project funding, staff payroll, and future projections. Participate in project implementation meetings as well as partner and funder meetings addressing topics related to fund management and reporting for all initiatives.
