Job Description 
Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. Reynolds is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse, culturally competent staff at all levels of the organization who reflect the demographics of our students. The Program Support and Credentialing Specialist will support the VCCS’s and the Community College Workforce Alliance’s (CCWA’s) mission by expanding CCWA’s capacity to support students pursuing IT credentials by dedicated credentialing support. This position will assist in significantly increasing student pass rates for industry-recognized IT credentials through structured exam coordination, progress tracking, and targeted student support that addresses barriers to credential attainment and improves exam readiness.

This position also supports the VCCS’s, Reynolds, and CCWA’s goals in increasing FastForward Credential attainment by providing top notch customer service to students and clients, while providing administrative program support for CCWA’s IT and Business programming, including managing program data, setting up classes and rooms, student registrations, grant processing, instructor/student communications, and billing. This position is crucial to the success of expanding and improving the IT and Business programming. IT provides direct credentialing and program support to the Information Technology and Business workforce training team and programs, and other services, for job seekers and industry (i.e., IT, Project Management, Customer Service etc.). Supports registration by helping track IT and Business-related grants and support the tuition assistance process when needed. Be a subject matter expert for processes related to IT and Business programming, and act as a liaison to 3rd party vendors, partners, proctors, instructors, and students. This position will help oversee and coordinate class preparation, basic technology support, and reporting with minimal supervision and the highest level of customer service.
Special Assignments  | May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications  | Experience with credentialing, testing coordination, or workforce training programs. Strong knowledge of administrative and office support functions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and web‑based systems. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Effective oral and written communication skills with diverse and multi‑generational populations. Ability to work independently and collaboratively while providing excellent customer service. Ability to interpret, communicate, and follow policies and procedures, and research/resolve issues independently. Ability to maintain accurate records and coordinate tasks efficiently. Working knowledge of financial aid or similar regulatory processes.
