- This position is a hybrid position with four days required in the Durham, North Carolina office.
The School Operations Support Specialist performs and/or oversees various aspects of school operations with an emphasis on compliance activity at all levels, internal and external to the K12 organization.

This is a full-time position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
- Work with administrative staff to ensure the school follows and meets all audit requirements;
- Oversees and supports major school events, such as enrollment, Semester End Transition, Year End Transition, and state testing;
- Develops relationships with education vendors, the districts, state and other education stakeholders;
- Helps maintain student records and data; creates/implements/documents processes that ensure student data validity in K12 and 3rd party databases;
- Assists Manager, School Operations with local, state, and federal reporting requirements;
- Works with administration to properly onboard and offboard staff;
- Works with School Operations, Data, and Assessment Senior Manager and administrative staff to ensure the school is compliant with and meets all audit requirements;
- Assists Manager, School Operations with the development of school policies and procedures;
- Collaborates as necessary with Sales, Client/Account Management, Product Development, IT, and other key stakeholders, to gain knowledge that will ensure client operational support needs are met
- Assists with a wide variety of personnel support issues and may support key office positions.
- Support the execution of operational strategies and initiatives.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics and project progress as required.
- Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements.
- Assist in onboarding new team members and provide ongoing support
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of all operational data
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in relative field of study AND
- 0-3 years of relevant professional experience OR
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to clear required background check
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Great organizational and time management skills
- Proficient MS365; web proficient
- Strong technology skills
- Experience using search engines (internet) for research projects
- Experience using a student information system and/or other type of database
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel 20% of the time
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Formal project management experience in fast-paced or start-up environment
- Non-profit / education grants management experience
- Experience with managing online learning
