Job Description  | Responsible for assisting in the management of functional area within environmental, health, safety, and risk management.

Job Duties  | A successful applicant must be able to expand the capabilities of the TxSSC and conduct statewide reviews and verification for multi-hazard emergency operations plans as required in the legislation. This position will be responsible for learning and successfully using the internal systems developed to facilitate the review and verification of multi-hazard emergency operations plans. This position will also be responsible for ensuring the latest best practices in school safety and emergency operations planning are integrated into all systems developed by the TxSSC.

This position will work with a team of specialists under the leadership of the Associate Director of School Safety Readiness, as well as work collaboratively with the Training and Education division to develop training and resources that will assist school districts with successfully meeting school safety compliance measures related to emergency operations planning.

A key responsibility of this role is delivering in-person training to school districts within your assigned regional Education Service Center. This includes facilitating small and large group sessions, ranging from 15 to 150 participants, as well as providing one-on-one support.

You may also be required to offer critical, in-person assistance to districts at their locations when deemed necessary by the division supervisor, associate director, or Center director. Travel is expected to range between 20-30 days per fiscal year, though this may vary depending on evolving Center directives and district needs.

Additionally, this role may entail performing other duties as assigned to support the needs of the Center.
