Job Summary
Senior Admissions Recruiter – College of Science
Purdue University / West Lafayette, Indiana
 
The College of Science is seeking a Senior Admissions Recruiter to play a key role in shaping and advancing our undergraduate recruitment strategy. This position is ideal for a seasoned, thoughtful professional who brings both a strategic perspective and a strong interest in engaging prospective students. Working with a high level of independence, the Senior Admissions Recruiter develops and implements recruitment initiatives that attract a talented and diverse student population. The role collaborates across the College and with external partners to support enrollment goals while continually refining outreach approaches and the overall recruitment experience.
 
What you’ll do:
  • Design and execute recruitment strategies that strengthen and diversify the student pipeline
  • Build meaningful relationships with prospective students, families, and key partners
  • Analyze recruitment data, trends, and outcomes to inform decision-making and improve processes
  • Lead or contribute to projects that enhance the recruitment and yield experience
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members and contribute to a collaborative team environment

What We're Looking For
Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree is required with a preference for STEM fields
  • Four (4) years of prior relevant experience also required
    • Examples include higher education admissions, general recruiting, or corporate training
  • Valid driver's license
 
Preferred:
  • Master’s degree
 
Skills Required:
  • Strong communication skills, particularly excellent presentation abilities, to engage effectively with prospective students and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in data analysis is essential for interpreting recruitment trends and demographics to inform strategies
  • Requires project management skills to oversee recruitment initiatives, along with interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse groups
  • A deep understanding of higher education practices, coupled with the ability to influence and advocate for the College’s values, is crucial for success in this position
