What You'll Do
As the Senior Adoptions Specialist, you will lead Wayside Publishing’s strategic efforts in K–12 instructional materials adoptions and RFPs at the local, state, and federal levels. You’ll manage complex adoption cycles, ensure compliance with educational standards, and collaborate across departments to drive successful product integration and delivery. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading strategic planning for adoption and RFP cycles, identifying opportunities for growth and alignment with market needs 
- Reviewing and approving proposals and curriculum standards to ensure compliance with state and federal policies 
- Acting as a subject matter expert on World Language adoption requirements and communicating mandates across teams 
- Overseeing business processes for state adoptions, including bid and RFP management 
- Analyzing incoming RFPs and adoption requests to assess product needs, timelines, and legal requirements 
- Managing adoption project workflows using project management tools and reporting KPIs to leadership 
- Facilitating timely delivery of proposals and adoption materials, ensuring all packaging and labeling requirements are met 
- Maintaining databases of adopted materials, costs, and state timelines 
- Leading cross-functional team meetings to ensure alignment and remove risks 
- Driving operational excellence and continuous improvement in adoption-related processes 
- Applying knowledge of educational technology, assessments, and World Language pedagogy to inform strategy
About You

- 5+ years of experience in education project/program management, preferably with K–12 instructional material adoptions 
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams 
- Deep understanding of compliance standards, RFP analysis, and adoption workflows 
- Proficiency in project management software and data-driven decision-making 
- Excellent communication and presentation skills 
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt to changing priorities 
- Familiarity with educational technology, formative/summative assessments, and differentiation strategies
