GENERAL DESCRIPTION Serves as operations Sr. Coordinator for the Office of International Law & Policy (OILP) at Chicago-Kent College of Law – Illinois Institute of Technology located within the Conviser Law Center. Provides senior coordination, administrative, and legal support for the Associate Dean, liaising with the main university campus and law school offices. Manages graduate law school enrollment and admissions records, provides support for legal services, and assists with budget tracking and account reimbursements. Serves as the front-line service provider to domestic and international incoming and current graduate law students and alumni. Serves as the Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) for the entire law school. DSO and ARO certificates and training will be provided upon hire. A JD candidate or law school graduate is preferred due to responsibilities associated with immigration certifications, contract drafting, and advising international law students on bar eligibility coursework and certifications. This is a full-time position eligible for tuition reimbursement.

Crafts informative emails for students regarding school policies and procedures and gives presentations to prospective and current students.
CUSTOMER SERVICE Provides student service for current students, faculty, and staff throughout the law school and broader Illinois Tech university, as well as to current partners, prospective partners, prospective students, and other external organizations as required.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in any related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Requires intelligence, flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to patiently help domestic and international students at the graduate level, many of whom do not speak English as a native language.
Knowledge & Skills
MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Google Suite applications, Blackboard, Salesforce; strong organizational skills to keep track of current and prospective student information and to deal with budgetary matters, strong cross-cultural skills and sensitivities; overseas experience a plus; (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System)and other immigration-related experience a plus.
SUPERVISION & BUDGET AUTHORITY | May supervise junior office personnel and student workers on occasion.
Physical Environment and Requirements | Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer on various tasks, assignments, and virtual meetings – virtual and/or audio, etc. 70% Require attending in-person with various individuals within the Chicago-Kent College of Law work area and, on occasion, other work areas located in the Conviser Law Center. 20% Occasional walking, bending, or reaching as needed to access files or office supplies, including the ability to lift to 15 pounds as necessary. 10%

Key Responsibility
Tracks and maintains files and documents related to LL.M., exchange, and international certificate student applications using both a CRM software and an Excel spreadsheet. Enters and maintains admissions data into student data into a higher education administrative software. Tracks and reports scholarships and student arrival status. Creates and maintains administrative memos and presentations as needed. Assists with degree audits and state bar certification procedures. Respond to student inquiries regarding registration and tuition, as well as assist students on a broad range of issues. Assists with departmental budgets.

Key Responsibility | Serves as the DSO and ARO for international students at Chicago-Kent applying for student visas. Sends the financial affidavit to students, and guides them throughout the process of obtaining an application to apply for a student visa. Creates the student visa applications in SEVIS, managing relevant records and documents.

Key Responsibility | Uses student enrollment information obtained from serving as DSO/ARO and admissions representative to track incoming student arrival status. Uses this arrival status information to assist in the planning and implementation of the orientation program for incoming international graduate and exchange law students, liaising with multiple departments to provide administrative services for incoming students. Assists in the planning of social events for students. Aids the Associate Dean, and other Leadership, in other tasks as needed.
