Location: Remote; Hybrid Eligible in Kansas City, MO, Austin, TX or Tulsa, OK

 

About the Role
At PaulHood we are transforming the mid-market CPA industry with an entirely new model. Our year-round membership model provides clients with expert tax and financial guidance, helping them feel more secure and realize their long-term financial goals. 

To support our continued growth, we are seeking a Senior Training Manager to lead the creation and delivery of training programs that strengthen our team’s client support, technical expertise, operational practices, and managerial capabilities. You will also support onboarding for new hires and employees who join the firm through acquisition. You will work closely with functional area leaders to support their team training. This role is focused on hands-on training design, facilitation, and execution in support of the company’s strategies.

Developing training and supporting our client success and client experience teams in service delivery will be a critical component of the ongoing role.

The ideal candidate will train and coach experienced tax, accounting, and client success professionals and managers, while being deeply involved in supporting company processes, systems learning, and leadership development. This role is a critical cross-functional lynch pin for the company’s success and growth.

What You Will Do 
Training Delivery Must be able to deliver training via multiple approaches including in-person, online, and asynchronous video or written training programs Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) via Paycor
 
Technical Training Develop and deliver training programs for systems, productivity, and for our tech stack (Microsoft Suite) Gain deep expertise in our tax software (CCH) and deliver training content to ensure proficiency across the organization (note: this role is *not* expected to train tax/accounting professionals on industry specific expertise). Train client success and client experience teams on the use of tech stack and client service models to support client needs
 
Managerial Skills Development and Training Support managers with foundational leadership skills, including performance management, accountability, and team development. Provide coaching and resources to help managers lead effectively in a high-growth environment
 
Onboarding and Integration Design and execute onboarding programs for new hires and employees from acquired firms Ensure smooth cultural and operational integration through structured learning experiences
 
Annual Training Academy Plan, organize, and deliver the annual Hood Training Academy, including curriculum design, scheduling and content creation. Collaborate with subject matter experts and leadership to ensure impactful programming. Develop company-wide content for a range of functions in the organization including Client Success and Client Experience, Accounting and Payroll, Tax, Sales and Marketing, Audit, etc.
 
Knowledge Management and Compliance Ensure content library is up to date and re-worked as needed Oversee training completion tracking and reporting in the company’s LMS and KnowB4 systems Partner with the HR Generalist for administrative support, including calendar management and compliance tracking Partner with Communications to ensure processes are documented and trained across the organization
 
Continuous Improvement Measure training effectiveness and adjust programs based on feedback and performance metrics Champion a culture of learning and professional growth across the organization  Experience You Will Need Bachelor’s degree in business, management, communications, or a related field preferred 7-10 years of experience in a training creation, management, and delivery role Proven ability to design and deliver technical and leadership training ranging from entry level to senior roles Experience in onboarding and integration in a multi-location/remote environment Experience managing a Learning Management System within an HRIS system (Paycor experience a plus) Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, Excel/Power BI, PowerPoint, Planner/Project)
 
Who You Are You have exceptional written and verbal communication and an ability to convey complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences You are an excellent presenter who is skilled in creating and delivering engaging presentations that drive understanding and retention. You have excellent facilitation skills in a remote training environment (able to effectively use Teams/Zoom) You have a proven ability to design compelling training materials, including detailed guides, interactive resources, and visually impactful PowerPoint presentations You are able to translate learning topics into clear, relatable narratives that motivate and inspire learning. You are able to learn new technical solutions and teach the use of tools for users (including our tax and accounting tools like CCH and Qount as well as the Microsoft technical stack). You are familiar with learning management systems and modern training tools. You thrive in a fast-growing environment with evolving needs You work effectively across departments to deliver impactful learning experiences
