About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, youâll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

Details:

In-Person Tutoring in Victorville, CA
Schedule: 15 hours, 3 sessions a week for 1 hour sessions
Pay range is between $25 and $35

Ideal Candidate:

Strong background in Special Education (required).
Experience with behavior intervention strategies and managing attention/engagement challenges.
Skilled in teaching foundational literacy and math using multisensory, hands-on approaches.
Patient, bubbly, and creativeâable to make learning fun and meaningful.
Comfortable customizing lessons and integrating motivating activities such as coloring, crafts, and visual tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction in foundational reading skills (sight words, CVC words, short-story comprehension).
Support writing development, including tracing, handwriting, and early written expression.
Teach foundational math using manipulatives, counters, and hands-on activities to build number sense, addition, and subtraction skills.
Use evidence-based strategies and behavior intervention techniques to support attention, engagement, and task completion.
Incorporate visual supports, arts and crafts, and structured reinforcement systems to motivate learning.
Adapt lessons to the studentâs developmental level and IEP goals.
Track progress and adjust instruction based on student needs.
