Job Description

You understand that the best talent often isn't looking for a job—they need to be discovered, inspired, and invited to join a movement. As our Specialist, Talent Recruitment - Home Office Outreach, you will act as a strategic headhunter, identifying and engaging high-caliber professionals who fuel our mission from behind the scenes. By building deep relationships and guiding candidates through a thoughtful selection process, you will ensure that the central and regional teams supporting our students are composed of the most skilled and dedicated leaders in their fields.

Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Pipeline Building (60%)

  • Proactively identify and engage high-quality, passive candidates for the central office and regional teams that support our schools, staff, and students, including Finance, IT, Marketing, and Human Resources.
  • Utilize advanced sourcing techniques—including LinkedIn Recruiter and professional networks—to build a robust pipeline of talent that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve.
  • Act as a talent scout, "mapping" the market to identify where top-tier professionals are making an impact and effectively "selling" the opportunity to transition into mission-driven work.

Candidate Engagement & Experience (30%)

  • Guide candidates through the initial stages of the hiring journey, conducting deep-dive interviews to assess mission alignment, technical expertise, and core competencies.
  • Manage the candidate experience with a high-touch, "white-glove" approach, ensuring every individual feels valued and informed regardless of the final hiring decision.
  • Evaluate candidate profiles against role-specific requirements to ensure a high-quality and equitable selection process that minimizes bias.

Hiring Manager Partnership & Strategy (10%)

  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers to deeply understand their team's needs and provide expert guidance on market trends and candidate expectations.
  • Regularly share data-driven updates on pipeline health and outreach effectiveness, adjusting strategies in real-time to meet the evolving needs of our Home Office.
  • Facilitate the transition from candidate outreach to formal interview stages, ensuring hiring managers are prepared with the context and insights needed to make informed decisions.
Qualifications
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Experience: Previous experience in talent acquisition, human resources, operations, or relationship-based roles where you have successfully managed multiple priorities in a non-profit or charter setting.
  • Strategic Thinking: Experience building talent maps or long-term pipeline strategies rather than just reacting to open vacancies.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tell a compelling story about our mission.
  • Commitment to Equity: A clear dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with an understanding of how to mitigate bias in the recruitment process.
  • Technical Skills: Comfort using LinkedIn Recruiter, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), or similar database management tools.

Not sure you meet every qualification? We encourage you to apply—we’re excited to learn what you bring.
