About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Long Beach, CA

Details:

In-Person Tutoring in Long Beach, CA
Schedule: 6 hours, 1 session a week at 1.5 hours
Pay range is between $25 and $35

Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with students with Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, and speech delays
Skilled in supporting:
- Foundational reading (sight words, alphabet recognition, early decoding)
- Early writing and letter formation (including hand-over-hand support)
- Early math skills and number recognition (1–30)
Strong behavior-management skills; able to remain calm, patient, and consistent
Creative and able to use the student’s interests (animals, dinosaurs, Disney, jungle themes) to build engagement
Structured, dependable, and able to deliver highly scaffolded lessons
Comfortable conducting an initial academic assessment

Key Responsibilities:
