Position Overview:

Sr. QA Analyst is responsible for leading OnCourse Learning's QA initiatives independently and working with OnCourse business teams on a variety of different online learning and application development initiatives. The Sr. QA Analyst will work for the full lifecycle of the project from requirements through development and deployment of web sites, online applications and traditional OnCourse learning projects. This is an opportunity to work in a rapidly evolving environment where you will contribute to design and develop OnCourse Learning's QA processes.

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, project teams and stakeholders to develop upcoming project schedules, create and execute test plans and deliver high quality products 
  • Act as a strong advocate for quality and help identify ways to improve product quality and meet the organization's quality standards.
  • Review functional and technical specifications to develop test plans for new or updated features developments. 
  • Execution of functional & system tests: manual and automated
  • Assist in creating the QA project toolkit (e.g. templates for requirements traceability, test plans, cycles, cases, scripts and standardized reports, such as a root-cause bug report and a test execution progress report), and training project leadership on toolkit practices and deliverables. 
  • Performing manual testing of interactive products focusing on functional and end-to-end testing
  • Participate in the development of the automation architecture and framework followed by developing and executing automated tests
  • Participate in training and mentoring                                                                    
  • Validating that data loading and storage structures operate according to technical specifications and well accepted standards. 
  • Utilize automated testing tool(s) when appropriate.
  • Participating in reviews at all phases of the software development cycle 
  • Develop and contribute to overall Quality Assurance best practices, strategy and methodology 
  • Ensure that software conforms to OnCourse Learning's and client style guides and standards (directory structures, file naming conventions, etc.) 
  • Provide accurate QA estimates for assigned work
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 10+ years of experience in software testing 
  • Experience in automated software testing
  • Experience with Agile development methodology
  • Experience with defect management and test management tools
  • Experience with SaaS software testing preferred
  • Experience in Magento e-commerce platform preferred
  • Experience with JIRA preferred
  • Experience with Zephyr test management preferred
  • Strong communication skills
