Ingredion is hiring a Senior Training Specialist (Manufacturing) to lead functional training at one or more manufacturing sites. As a member of the Global OPS Training Team, this role will contribute to the development of a global manufacturing training program and will be accountable for executing that program at assigned sites across the region.
As a Senior Training Specialist, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering technical, compliance, and leadership & development (L&D) training for manufacturing team members. This includes creating high-quality, effective learning standards in alignment with global leadership to ensure consistency, standardization, and operational excellence across the network. This position will report to the Manager of Operations Training US & Canada.
What you will do:
- Serve as a key member of the Global OPS Training Team, supporting the development of a global manufacturing training program and executing it effectively at assigned site(s).
- Partner closely with local leadership (e.g., Plant Manager, HR Manager) to provide expertise and leadership for site-specific functional training needs, including the design and development of localized training solutions.
- Assist local HR teams with onboarding activities for both salaried and hourly employees, ensuring alignment with global standards.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts in Safety, Quality, and other functions to identify training requirements and develop content in coordination with the global manufacturing training team to ensure consistency across sites.
- Provide guidance and support to site peer trainers (hourly associates), helping them execute training plans, develop and deliver content efficiently, and foster a community of practice to share best practices across locations.
- If assigned to support multiple sites, provide direction and coordination to local training points of contact (salaried or hourly).
- Support Manufacturing’s Continuous Improvement initiatives by developing curriculum, shop floor standards, and monitoring training effectiveness. and Establish and maintain plans to keep regional training content current, including refresher training and recertification criteria for technical roles.
What you will bring:
- Proficiency in Articulate 360 or equivalent software for developing interactive e-learning and CBTs.
- Experience leading and developing training programs in a manufacturing environment. (preferred)
- Prior experience in project management, including organizing and managing multiple projects.
· Experience maintaining accurate training records, including checklists, SOPs, , and work instructions.
· Spanish language proficiency is preferred
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in learning and development, with a strong background in instructional design and training program management; or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Engineering, and/or Process Management within a manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to analyze training needs, identify performance gaps, and recommend targeted solutions to improve workforce capability.
- Proven success in developing and implementing training initiatives, including effective cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive initiatives to completion.

Pay Range:
$81,680.00-$108,906.67 Annual
This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
Incentive Compensation:
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
