Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Training Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to work independently while keeping the program management office informed of your activities and ensuring tasks are captured in weekly and monthly status reports.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Manage training events for DoD and International customers to include scheduling, staffing and coordination of security requirements/visit requests required for government facilities.
- Coordinate with Site Training Managers to define training objectives, schedule, and required personnel
- Document site-specific resource availability to understand training environment prior to arrival on-site (i.e. classroom availability, number of workstations, etc.)
- Develop and maintain a training schedule that captures contractually required training obligations, metrics on completed training events, and forecast for site training in future years
- Coordinate with Resource Planner to ensure training budget is monitored and projections accurately reflect latest plans.
- Develop and implement a method to measure the effectiveness of training events, including evaluations from the training audience on both the event and the trainers providing the training to evaluate effectiveness and adjust process/technique as necessary to improve training outcomes
- Coordinate, develop, deliver, and manage internal training and development programs; conduct internal needs assessments and create training solutions
- Manage the updates and customization of training courses, content and materials
- Work closely with Project and Program Manager on a regular basis
- Provide weekly activity reports on training accomplishments and goals
- Perform routine checks/audits to ensure that SME/Trainers are adequately trained
- Keep metrics/log of trained personnel/sites and ensure all training is completed as required by the SOW and Work Plans
- Ensure Trip Reports are completed and submitted in a timely manner for all training visits
- Conduct and facilitate training sessions, presenting information clearly and concisely to various audiences
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Minimum of ten (10) years experience in either military, private sector or law enforcement and an Associates Degree or other related certification in a technical field OR
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant experience in either military, private sector or law enforcement
- Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, and other MS applications to include PowerPoint & Excel
- Ability to adequately train and assess competencies of military and technical personnel
- A current or former member (honorable discharge) of the United States Armed Forces
- Experience supporting government programs/contracts
- Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated proficiency and a working knowledge of company policies and procedures
- Strong understanding of federal regulations, compliance requirements, and experience in the handling of classified/controlled documents
- Passport for periodic international travel
