UA IT Manager

Position Summary

The University Advancement (UA) IT Manager provides enterprise-level strategic leadership for all technology services supporting University Advancement and acts on behalf of both UA and MSU IT. The position is accountable for technology strategy, governance, service resilience, risk management, and people leadership, ensuring the capacity, effectiveness, sustainability, and quality of IT services across the division. Reporting jointly to UA and MSU IT leadership, the role serves as the primary liaison between organizations and delivers IT services aligned with UA operational and long-term strategic goals while adhering to MSU IT enterprise standards, practices, and governance.

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program; more than eight years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience leading IT teams, managing budgets, and supporting enterprise technology environments; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications

Experience in higher education IT; enterprise IT governance participation; incident and change management leadership; strategic planning and roadmap development; strong communication, coaching, and executive stakeholder engagement skills.
