Summary
The VP of Sales is responsible for leading their sales team to meet and exceed goals. The essential duties include hiring and developing Account Executives, as well as training them in the techniques needed to meet sales and impact goals, which include moving us from serving 500 thousand students presently to 8 million students in five years.
Essential functions
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve revenue and impact goals based on the target market.
- Develop and implement sales strategies, forecasts, territory planning, go-to-market plans, and compensation structures aligned with key organizational objectives.
- Develop and implement sustainable and repeatable sales opportunity processes that are disciplined and transparent, solution-based, and promote scalable growth.
- Develop and implement an ideal sales personnel journey to set team members up for immediate success and a pathway for growth. Create sustainable processes to allow for scale, utilizing best practices for recruiting, onboarding, training, and coaching a diverse and successful team.
- Map the organization’s sales process with our target market’s buying process to understand and enhance what skills, knowledge, processes, and tools are required by our sales team to increase impact, market share, and conversion rates at each stage of the process.
- Lead Regional Sales Directors by setting up comp plans/quotas and coaching sales leadership and team members, while motivating them to be strong and happy contributors to our organization, culture, and purpose.
- Oversee the management, learning, and career development of the sales team, lead and influence change management with positivity, and gain overall buy-in.
- Develop department budget, monitor, and adjust to business conditions

Requirements
Required education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Professional Sales, Business Management, or equivalent required, Master's degree preferred.
- 7-10 years of sales experience, including closing and leadership roles
- Previous experience selling educational and/or software strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota
- Supervisory experience is highly preferred.
- The preferred individual is local to the Kaysville, Utah, headquarters.
- The first six months will include extensive onboarding and product knowledge acquisition.
Travel required
Up to 40% travel required.
