Advertised Job Summary | VMSS Coordinator (Student Services Program Coordinator II), Salary: $41,258 – $51,572 per year, USCA Veterans Affairs
With minimal supervision from the Director, the VMSS Coordinator-VA School Certifying Official will perform a variety of tasks related to and incorporating the processes involving supporting the daily operations of the Veteran and Military Student Success Center, Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC), the VA/DoD/State Education and Training Benefits, which requires the use of Customer Relationship Management tools and the Veterans Affairs Enrollment Manager web based database system, and other general and departmental requirements unique to USCA. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Team building, excellent written and oral communications skills, budget management, coordination skills, and computer proficiency in a Windows-based environment required. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 1 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Preferred: Military experience (Veteran, Service Member, or Spouse of Service Member), Experience working with VA/DoD/State Education and Training benefits. Job Duties
Job Duty | VA School Certifying Official (SCO), acts as compliance official for VA-related matters, keeps up to date on current VA/DoD/State & ROTC policies and benefits, keeps the lead SCO informed of the enrollment certification status of vet/mil students, works with faculty and staff to promote and implement Vet/Mil student retention, progression, and graduation efforts. Manage Data through CRM, VA Enrollment Manager, and University data systems. Develop reports of key information regarding Vet/Mil demographics, benefit certifications, and other reports as required.

Coordinate certification work within the daily operations of the center and regulatory compliance audits. Provide status reports and regular updates to the lead SCO. Support vet/mil student related events to include the Veterans Honor Society, Scholarship Reception, Coining Ceremony, and other ceremonies.

Participate in outreach on campus and within the community both through social media, presentations, and workshops about the various programs the VMSS Office provides to Veteran and Military students and the community.
