Division of Academic Affairs — Administrative Support Assistant I
** Part-Time Position - 20 Hours **

Responsibilities & Duties
Responsible for a range of administrative and office support for students, staff, and other scheduled activities for CSU Channel Islands International Programs. Serves as support for recruitment and admissions/records based on needs of the department.
  • Assists with outreach to students and updating systems (PeopleSoft, Web Admit, Airtable) with accurate data
  • Provides current and accurate information to international students and verifies official documents
  • Relays timely and accurate information to the Assistant Director of International Programs as necessary
  • Provides excellent customer service to prospective students and current international students as well as instructors and staff
  • Provides support to programs and staff as directed
  • Makes phone calls and emails to support international programs
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements of Position
  • Equivalent to a high school diploma or one year of experience in an office setting
  • High degree of initiative and responsibility
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to understand standard office procedures in an office setting
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and able to learn new office technologies
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work independently, with flexibility for evolving responsibilities

Compensation
Hiring Salary: $1,911 per month (based on 20 hours per week).
