Position Summary

Catapult Learning is seeking an In-Person After School Tutor for Math, grades 2-6, at Edgewood Middle School, California Elementary, Cameron Elementary, and Orangewood Elementary in West Covina, CA. This role provides contracted instructional services in math, reading, and writing, generally 5-8 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the Company
Consult with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students
Communicate and conference with parents, providing information on student progress
Attend training sessions and deliver designated instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and writing using Company-designed materials
Develop and maintain individualized, skill-appropriate lesson plans
Ensure supervision of students, including escorting students safely to and from sessions
Maintain student forms and files as required by the Company, local, state, and federal agencies

Qualifications

Non-licensed tutors: associate degree or higher, or at least two years of study at an accredited institution
Licensed tutors: properly credentialed teacher recognized by the State of California
FBI/BCI background check required; understanding of phonics required
