Job Summary/Basic Function: The Assistant Director for School Partnerships and Engagement supports strategic initiatives designed to strengthen relationships between Wright State University and regional school districts, community organizations, and prospective students. This position provides operational and outreach support for both the College Credit Plus (CCP) program and Take Flight Academy initiatives, helping students successfully prepare for college enrollment and future career opportunities.The Assistant Director works collaboratively with university leadership, school administrators, counselors, teachers, students, families, and community partners to expand educational access, increase student engagement, and support pathways to higher education and workforce success.Wright State’s College Credit Plus program allows eligible students in grades 7–12 to earn college credit while completing high school requirements
Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree required. Three to five years of experience in admissions, college access programming, secondary education, student services, community engagement, or related field. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to build collaborative relationships with students, families, educators, and community stakeholders. Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends and travel to partner schools and community locations. Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications | Experience working with College Credit Plus, dual enrollment, college readiness, or workforce development initiatives. Knowledge of higher education admissions and enrollment processes. Experience working with diverse student populations and educational partners.
Essential Functions and percent of time: |
College Credit Plus (CCP) Support (45%)
Support the Director of College Credit Plus in the administration and promotion of the CCP program. Develop and maintain strong relationships with high school administrators, counselors, teachers, students, and families. Assist students and school partners through the CCP enrollment process, ensuring completion of admissions requirements, placement testing, orientation, advising, and registration steps. Communicate regularly with prospective and admitted CCP students regarding deadlines, enrollment requirements, and next steps. Coordinate outreach activities including school visits, presentations, information sessions, and student engagement events. Serve as a resource for school personnel and families regarding CCP policies, procedures, and program opportunities. Collaborate with academic advising and admissions staff to support student success and retention within CCP. Assist with maintaining accurate student records, communications, and reporting related to CCP participation. Promote the benefits of Wright State’s CCP program, including college readiness, transferability of coursework, and cost savings for families.
Take Flight Academy and Partnership Engagement (45%)
Support the Director of Strategic Resources and Partnership in implementing Take Flight Academy initiatives within selected high schools. Work directly with high school students to provide guidance and preparation related to college planning, career exploration, workforce readiness, and future educational opportunities. Coordinate workshops, presentations, mentoring activities, and engagement programming focused on student success and post-secondary planning. Build and sustain collaborative partnerships with school districts, community organizations, business leaders, and civic partners. Represent Wright State University at community events, school meetings, and partnership activities. Assist in developing strategies that position Wright State University as a supportive and engaged partner for students pursuing college and career pathways. Support outreach efforts designed to increase awareness of educational opportunities, student support resources, and career readiness initiatives. Collect and maintain participation data and assist in assessing program effectiveness and engagement outcomes.
Duties as Assigned (10%)
Represent Wright State University on committees and at external meetings as assigned. Other duties and responsibilities within the Division of Enrollment Management, as needed, to support institutional goals and priorities.

Working Conditions | The position requires frequent travel to high schools and community events, both within Ohio and in neighboring states. Evening and weekend hours are required during peak recruitment seasons.
