As the Business Systems QA Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our organization's business systems and applications. This position requires a skilled professional who can lead a quality assurance team, set QA standards, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our business systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of QA professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement QA best practices, strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality and reliable applications and systems.
  • Engage stakeholders to grasp business and system needs.
  • Conduct and oversee the development and execution of test cases, ensuring thorough coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Develop and implement an automation strategy for business systems testing to enhance efficiency and test coverage.
  • Work closely with the development team to integrate automated testing into the development pipeline.
  • Implement and manage robust issue-tracking systems to identify, document, and prioritize defects.
  • Generate and communicate regular QA reports to relevant stakeholders, highlighting testing progress and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with developers, administrators, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand system changes and updates.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide QA insights and ensure alignment between QA and development efforts.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, both within the QA function and with our entire implementation and development life cycle 
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging QA methodologies/technologies to enhance the overall QA strategy.

Basic Requirements of the Business Systems Senior Quality Assurance Lead:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience in a QA leadership role or a similar position.
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in quality assurance and testing roles
  • Extensive experience in software testing and quality assurance processes.
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test planning, and execution.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages for test automation.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and lead a team of QA professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Moderate knowledge of NetSuite or Salesforce functionality and configuration capabilities
  • Ability to analyze complex systems, identify potential issues and develop effective testing strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve QA-related challenges.
  • Experience working collaboratively with development teams, product owners, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to participate in cross-functional meetings and provide QA insights.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing automation strategies for QA processes.
  • Proficient in implementing and managing issue-tracking systems.
  • Ability to generate and communicate comprehensive QA reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Proactive mindset towards identifying opportunities for process improvement within the QA function.
  • Stay updated on emerging QA methodologies.
  • Ability to adapt to project requirements, technology, and business priorities changes.

Preferred Requirements of the Business Systems Senior Quality Assurance Lead:

  • Certifications in NetSuite & Salesforce administration or related areas are a plus.
  • Experience with tools we don’t use but should, and the wisdom to know when to recommend them
  • Interested in teaching fellow Amplifiers
  • Experience in education or ed-tech

The gross annualized salary range for this role is $120,000 - $135,000. This role is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
