Department Summary
The Registrar’s Office support students by offering a variety of student services, i.e. registration, degree awarding/verification, commencement, official transcripts, and VA certifications. Our duty is to maintain integrity of our students’ academic records. Position Overview
This position is responsible for planning and organizing office procedures and is responsible for maintaining student records files. This position requires strong communication skills, verbal and written, and demands strong customer service excellence. Under the supervision of the Coordinator of Degree Audit and Enrollment, this position is to represent the Office of the Registrar to students, parents, and visitors, and manage student records with a strict adherence to policy.
 
Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree and one year of professional related experience in administration or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Ability to analyze problems and determine appropriate solutions within a framework of general policies and procedures Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations verbally and in writing Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships Ability to work independently Proficiency in MS Office Knowledge of safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed. Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree and experience working in a college or university registrars office. Experience with degree programs, auditing transcripts and student record keeping. Experience working in the PeopleSoft system helpful. At least one year of office administration experience in a college or university environment.

Job Duties
Serves as first point of contact for students, parents, and visitors for the Office of the Registrar.Engages positively with students over telephone, face to face, and via electronic means regarding questions, concerns, and connections to other campus resources.Facilitates front counter processes and procedures, ensuring the reception area is functional and presentable.Responsible for maintaining a current and accurate understanding of all processes and procedures in the Registrars office.Maintains student files, both physical and electronic, and safeguarding sensitive information with a strict adherence to FERPA rules and regulations.Processes student record changes. These include; name changes, degree program changes, adding and removing holds, duplication requests, grade changes, and other requests as needed.Processes adds, drops, withdrawals, and coordinates other registration activities as needed.Assists with the planning, organizing and execution of registration and commencement related events.Ensures that appropriate printed materials contain current and accurate policies and procedures.Works closely with academic departments regarding add, drop, and withdrawal deadlines.Assists in the evaluation of student transcripts as needed.Responsible for maintenance and enhancement of Registrars office documents.Represents the Registrars Office in parent and student orientations.
