North Carolina State University is hiring a Graduate Services Coordinator (College of Education). The coordinator is the main administrative link between graduate students, the graduate programs in the Department of Educational Leadership, Policy, and Human Development, and the university's Graduate School. The role follows students from admission through graduation, handling applications, student records, course scheduling, and graduation clearance.

Highlights
  • Coordinate each graduate program's administrative steps from application review and admissions communications through graduation clearance, including verifying eligibility for the Graduate Student Support Plan (GSSP).
  • Maintain tracking tools for application status, degree audits, examination permits, and graduation requirements, and monitor Graduate School policy updates to share changes with faculty and students.
  • Keep confidential student records accurate by reconciling applicant and student documentation across the student information system, Slate, and departmental tracking tools, and by researching and correcting discrepancies with the appropriate offices.
  • Coordinate graduate course scheduling with faculty and program leadership, enter and verify course information, and reserve classrooms and meeting spaces.
  • Plan logistics for graduate student orientation, graduation and convocation, symposiums, and other departmental events.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the department's graduate programs and the Graduate School, tracking inquiries to resolution and escalating issues outside the position's authority.
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience; familiarity with NC State academic policies and student systems, and experience at NC State or another UNC System university, are preferred.
  • Hybrid schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with on-site work at the College of Education office on the Raleigh campus at least three days per week.
  • Salary falls within a classification range of $34,602 to $58,870, with the actual salary based on training and experience.
