Job SummaryJefferson Community and Technical College is seeking an experienced Information Technology Support Specialist to provide end-user support for administrative systems, campus safety and security systems, and IT helpdesk services. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent customer service abilities, and experience working in an educational environment.
Job Duties:Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Provide end-user support for KCTCS administrative systems, including User Accounts, Email, WebEx Voice and PeopleSoft.

• Four (4) years of relevant IT support experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows/macOS, Office 365, Active Directory, and enterprise systems.
• Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems and remote support tools.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
Preferred Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• IT experience in an educational institution.
• Experience with PeopleSoft, security systems (access control, cameras), and IT training.
• Knowledge of mass notification systems (e.g., School Messenger, Singlewire).
• Experience supporting Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Blackboard, Canvas, or Moodle.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Modern Desktop, or ITIL are a plus.
