The Learning & Development Specialist role will work closely with the Human Resources Manager and the Director of Human Resources to build innovative training strategies and develop unique programs tailored to employees' needs. This individual should be personable, approachable, and genuinely passionate about creating content that helps employees learn and grow.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the Human Resources Manager and Director to address the company's training needs.
  • Utilize Artificial Intelligence daily and explore ways to integrate AI into company learning.
  • Assign Personal Growth Plan (PGP) training to new employees.
  • Maintain and update the Learning Management System by creating course content, adding new users, assigning training, uploading and managing courses, registering attendance, adding external training, and pulling monthly reports.
  • Lead course creation by recording and editing in-person courses, maintaining video equipment, using Articulate 360 for course videos and modules, and coordinating and uploading modules.
  • Facilitate the development and execution of TNP instructor-led courses, including rehearsals, content creation, and day-of-class tasks.
  • Maintain and manage the Fort Worth Training Room calendar.
  • Help create and collaborate on a Learning Needs Assessment to evaluate company-wide training needs.
  • Assist in how to improve the learning management experience and possible migration. 
  • Coordinate with TNP training consultants on materials, course content, and scheduling sessions.
  • Work with content vendors like Red Vector to find new content, upload SCORM files, and resolve technical issues.
  • Coordinate employee brown bag sessions with external product manufacturers and technical experts.
  • Updating the company's recommended reading list and ordering books when necessary.
  • Send out course reminders to employees for new courses.
  • Create a monthly SharePoint post of upcoming courses and training opportunities through the LMS.
  • Assist with any LMS migration tasks as we migrate to a new HRIS system, 

Requirements
Education: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Learning and Development, or related field required
  • Certified Professional in Training Management preferred

Professional:
  • At least two years of training experience in learning development or a similar field.
  • Strong commitment to professional development.
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence
  • 2-5 years of experience with the Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel. 
  • 2-5 years of experience working with Canva.
  • 1-2 years of experience with video editing software.
  • Understanding of SCORM files within an LMS or a willingness to learn.
  • Strong desire to create new systems and courses with minimal direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop solid working relationships in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to effectively organize, manage, and complete multiple tasks and assignments in a schedule-sensitive environment.
