Description of Work  | As an engaged member of the College of Business’s enrollment management team, the Recruitment and Events Coordinator serves as a point of contact for prospective undergraduate students and parents interested in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Nebraska Business. The Coordinator advises prospective students regarding academic requirements, programs, and policies of the college and the university in person, over the phone, and via email through campus visits, recruitment events, and other recruiting initiatives. This position plans and coordinates admissions events, campus visit programs, and college tours. The Recruitment and Events Coordinator collaborates with academic departments to lead middle and high school outreach events and summer camps. This individual supports targeted recruitment efforts and marketing efforts of prospective student populations. This position may require weekend and evening hours during peak times.

Minimum Required Qualifications  | Bachelor’s degree. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Public speaking/presentation skills necessary. Ability to work independently using strong organizational skills and initiative. Ability to plan and execute events. Ability to recognize and serve the needs of various student populations. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.

Preferred Qualifications  | One (1) year of experience in admissions, recruiting, event planning, sales or closely related setting desirable. Experience working with CRM technology helpful. Experience recruiting or working with high school or college students preferred.
