| Job Summary/Basic Function | Position creates and shares engaging marketing and communications content (written, video, photo) that promotes positive awareness of Weber State University for retention purposes while building connections via social media channels, blogs and other digital communications. A qualified applicant for this position will: Write, edit, schedule, plan, monitor social media accounts; Work closely with student groups for social media content creation; Work closely with campus clients for blog creation and other digital mediums as assigned; Create and maintain a posting calendar to connect with incoming and existing WSU students through official WSU social media accounts in Student Access & Success (SAS); Train and advise Student Access & Success departments on policies, guidelines and best practices for social media; Integrate photography and video into shared content; Plan, storyboard, record and edit video content for SAS social media platforms and digital media displays; Interviewing students for student experience content; Manage student employees to help with social media content creation and get out and pick up signage on campus; Working closely with marketing team to promote events and services to students through social media; Working closely with social media coordinator in Marketing & Communications for collaborative content; Boost posts and paid advertisement. |

The annual salary for this position starts at $44,000 and may go up from there depending on candidate qualifications. The position comes with a generous benefits package.
