Job Summary  | The Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life serves as the
primary advisor to the Interfraternity Council(IFC). Primary
advisors are responsible for supporting programming, leadership
development and administrative oversight, including budgets for
the council they advise. All members of the staff also serve as
chapter coaches for a portfolio of chapters across all governing
councils. Chapter coaches meet regularly with chapters to provide
direct support and advisement on chapter operations and goals.

In addition to council advising responsibilities, the Assistant
Director will lead projects in the department related to either
organizational or individual member development. Organizational
development includes programming and support for recruitment,
establishing chapters, retention and new member education in all
councils, as well as supporting the chapter coaching model.
Individual development includes programming to promote
leadership development including FSL 101 for all new members
and leading advisor development.

The Assistant Director serves as a key member of the leadership
team for the department along with the Associate Director. This
group leads strategic planning and implementation for the
department.

graduation and beyond, support students in living a life of
meaning and purpose. From a student-centered framework, our
practice will be grounded in peer-reviewed literature, national
best practices, and data-informed decision-making. Collaborating
with the campus and community, Student Success will work
through a holistic lens to support a community of learners in
achieving success.
