Job Description:

The W. P. Carey School of Business Undergraduate Programs Office seeks a highly service-oriented and student-centered professional to join its Enrollment team as a Transfer Enrollment & Academic Advising Specialist. This position supports prospective and admitted Arizona community college transfer students by serving as a single point of contact for admissions guidance, academic advising, transfer credit evaluation, and foundational financial aid information.


This cross-trained role is central to W. P. Carey's one-stop shop transfer model, designed to streamline the student experience, reduce barriers to enrollment, and promote timely academic progress and degree completion. Position Salary Range:

$48,600-$58,320 

Essential Duties:

Admissions & Enrollment Support:

  • Serve as a primary contact for prospective and admitted transfer students from assigned Arizona community colleges

  • Provide individualized guidance on admissions requirements, application processes, and enrollment timelines

  • Conduct one-on-one appointments and group presentations in person, virtually, and via phone or email

  • Represent W. P. Carey at community college visits, transfer fairs, information sessions, and recruitment events

  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community college advisors, counselors, and administrators

  • Utilize CRM and student information systems (e.g., Salesforce, PeopleSoft) to manage communications, outreach, and student records

  • A majority of time is spent at assigned Arizona community colleges on a weekly basis

Academic Advising & Transfer Credit Guidance:

  • Advise prospective and newly admitted transfer students on academic pathways, degree requirements, and course selection

  • Interpret and communicate university, college, and program-level academic policies and procedures

  • Assist students in understanding transfer credit applicability, articulation pathways, and degree maps

  • Support students in identifying academic and co-curricular opportunities aligned with their goals

  • Collaborate with advising, admissions, and academic units to resolve complex academic or transfer-related issues

Financial Aid & Student Support Navigation:

  • Provide foundational guidance regarding financial aid processes, scholarships, and general affordability considerations

  • Refer students to appropriate campus partners including Financial Aid, Scholarships, Career Services, and Counseling & Consultation

  • Support students and families using a holistic, proactive, and student-centered approach


Programmatic & Team Support:

  • Contribute to enrollment, retention, and student success initiatives through proactive outreach and coordinated support strategies

  • Assist with process improvement, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration

  • Participate in the Undergraduate Programs Office and W. P. Carey events, including New Student Orientation, Fall Welcome, Convocation, and outreach initiatives

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with transfer students and/or community college populations

  • Knowledge of undergraduate academic advising practices and enrollment processes

  • Experience recruiting and/or working in an externally facing role in a university/corporate setting

  • Experience using student information systems and CRM tools (e.g., PeopleSoft, DARS, Salesforce)

  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to explain complex processes clearly and empathetically

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-focused environment

  • Commitment to access, inclusion, and student success

Working Environment:

  • Approximately 80% of the time will be at community colleges and 20% will be office-based 

  • Activities are primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, and computer use. Travel to community colleges and ASU locations is required.
