Job Description  |
Central Virginia Community College is located in Lynchburg, Virginia, in view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. CVCC is a comprehensive two-year institution of higher education with an enrollment of approximately 5,000 students in occupational/technical programs and university-parallel/college transfer programs.

The Admin and Office Specialist will support the mission of Central Virginia Community College by providing administrative support for the Strengthening Community College Training Grant programs including CareerLink, CTE Programs and Work-based learning. This position will work with both internal and external individuals including students and employers. This position will manage data using internal software systems for registration, internships, grant processing and billing. Other responsibilities include coordination of room reservations, instructor communication and technology support.
Special Assignments  | May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications  | Considerable knowledge in administrative and office support functions. Ability to operate a multitude of technology programs to assist the CTE Coordinator, Work-Based Learning Coordinator and the Director of Special Projects. Excellent customer service and strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with a diverse population. Ability to organize, coordinate and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. High school graduate or equivalent.
Additional Considerations  | Associate’s degree. Experience with CTE and Work-based learning programs. Experience with Navigate and SIS enrollment systems.
