People & Compliance Generalist Full Description

The People Generalist, Operations & Compliance plays a key role in driving operational efficiency within our people operations processes. This position will support and manage critical projects aimed at ensuring compliance, conducting audits, and maintaining adherence to regulatory requirements. The Senior Associate will be instrumental in streamlining people-related processes while ensuring the integrity of compliance and audit functions across the organization.

What You'll Do:
  • Conduct Regular Compliance Audits: Perform audits of employee personnel files to verify that all records are maintained according to applicable compliance rules and regulations, ensuring proper documentation and data integrity.
  • Maintain  Benefits Compliance: Partners with benefits and payroll to ensure compliance with benefits-related regulations and internal policies such as completion of 401K 5500 Audit, PCORI filings, and Non-discrimination testings
  • File Management and Documentation: Complete I9s for all  new hires and ensure that all relevant employee documents are filed and stored appropriately, maintaining strict adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, including background checks.
  • Support & Respond to Employee Inquiries: Act as a secondary point of contact for employee compliance-related requests, concerns, and inquiries, ensuring timely responses or routing to the appropriate team for resolution.
  • Maintain Compliance Documentation: Regularly update and maintain our People Notion page and GovDoc’s page with current and relevant policies, procedures, and compliance documentation, ensuring all employees have access to up-to-date information.
  • Support Immigration Compliance: Ensure compliance with immigration laws and regulations by assisting in managing employee work authorization documentation and maintaining proper records for visa sponsorships and other immigration-related matters.
  • Affirmative Action & Equal Opportunity: Assist with the affirmative action programs to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. 
  • Vendor Management Assistance: Assist with third-party vendors who provide benefits, compliance services, and contingent workforce solutions.  Completes vendor audits.
  • Contribute to Special Projects: Participate in and assist with other projects as needed, ensuring alignment with audit requirements and best practices.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional duties as required.

What You Should Have:
  • 5-7 years of in-depth understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including immigration compliance, affirmative action, and employee benefits regulations.
  • 5-7 years of strong experience conducting audits of employee records and data, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining accurate, complete, and well-organized files.
  • Ability to work with third-party vendors to ensure compliance with benefits, compensation, and other people operations-related services.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • Ability to identify issues or gaps in compliance, processes, or data, and work collaboratively with teams to resolve them effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively respond to employee inquiries, create compliance documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee information with the utmost confidentiality, adhering to privacy laws and internal policies.
  • Excels in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Knowledge and experience in G-suite

The pay range for this position is $88,900 to $133,300 for all US locations. Articulate takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
