Job Description
The Vice President, HR Operations, will lead enterprise-wide HR process transformation, focusing on execution at pace. This role will drive immediate stabilization of foundational HR systems, data integrity, and process governance, with measurable progress expected within the first 12 months.
This leader will be responsible for optimizing HR workflows, systems, and employee service delivery to improve end-user experience and operational execution.
Success in this role requires a highly driven, results-oriented leader with deep project-based experience, a strong grasp of HR systems and data governance, and a demonstrated ability to deliver large-scale change on an accelerated timeline. This role will own the HR process governance framework, assess current technology and processes, and build a roadmap for future-state solutions—all while balancing speed, accuracy, and scale.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Process Management & Optimization
- Lead an accelerated assessment and redesign of end-to-end HR processes to enable efficiency, compliance, and usability.
- Drive immediate improvements to process execution by identifying and eliminating bottlenecks, redundancies, and inefficiencies.
- Build and implement a governance model to ensure ongoing consistency in HR policies and workflows.
- Define and track KPIs to measure progress and outcomes, with early wins expected within the first 6–12 months.
- Partner closely with HR COEs, HRBPs, and IT to ensure seamless and scalable process execution.
HR Technology & Systems Optimization
- Evaluate and optimize current HR systems (HRIS, ATS, reporting) with a focus on foundational stability and readiness for future-state solutions.
- Build a roadmap for system enhancements, integrations, and potential replacements, in collaboration with IT.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all platforms as a top priority in the first phase.
- Lead the design and implementation of employee- and manager-friendly digital tools and workflows.
- Advance HR reporting capabilities to support timely, data-driven decisions.
Employee Service and Resource Center & Operational Excellence
- Modernize the employee support model to align with a future-ready, high-efficiency HR service framework.
- Establish and track SLAs, feedback loops, and operational metrics to ensure high service quality.
- Leverage technology and automation to improve support, reduce friction, and enhance employee experience.
Payroll & Compliance (If Applicable)
- Partner with Payroll, Total Rewards, and Finance to ensure accurate and compliant payroll execution.
- Oversee compliance of HR operational processes and data with regulatory and audit standards.
- Lead process and documentation efforts to support audits and mitigate operational risk.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- 15+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in HR operations or process improvement leadership.
- Strong experience delivering project-based transformation within HR operations, especially under compressed timelines.
- Expertise in HR technology (HRIS, ATS, integrations), data governance, and system optimization.
- Proven ability to lead HR process redesign, drive operational efficiency, and enhance service delivery.
- Experience owning HR process governance frameworks and system roadmapping.
- Track record of working cross-functionally across HR, IT, and business units.
- Analytical orientation with experience using data and KPIs to drive operational outcomes.
- Experience standing up or optimizing shared services, service centers, or employee self-service models.

Additional Information
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $225,000 and $325,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
