This position, under the general guidance of the VP of Product Development, is responsible for driving and executing the direction, coordination, quality and output of the Products and Solutions for higher ed market. This position will be responsible for definition of high-value extensions and enhancements to PowerSchool’s PeopleAdmin product portfolio. It is an important organizational role that sets the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for a product or product line. This role is responsible for successful product launches, comprehensive business and market analytics, as well as closely working with all marketing functions to develop and lead demand generation initiatives. In addition, you will define and communicate region-unique requirements for future products while developing highly effective working relationships with multiple stakeholders communicating progress, eliciting feedback and enabling stakeholder reviews for validation in the process. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong passion for building products in addition to understanding of finesse of marketing innovative products, strong business management capabilities, including the ability to uncover customer insights that help inform business decisions.

• Responsible for Product themes and roadmap with special empathy for Higher Ed Customer base and its market drivers.
• Manage ongoing feedback loops with learners, partners, enterprises, employees and industry influencers to deliver consumer insights and improve our learner experience and platform services as rapidly and efficiently as possible
• Provide strong leadership to the product team through intelligent, clear and inspirational communication and a hands-on, passionate approach to the job
• Rapidly iterate and constantly improve the platform
• Work with Marketing and Sales to drive GTM
• Deliver weekly reports on project status to Executive Management Monitors and drives all performance goals
• Coaches and develops employees
• Participates in hiring of new team members
• Performs any HR related tasks
• Improve organizations performance on delivering products by managing the cross functional development scope with Product Managers, Product Owners and Scrum teams.
• Rapidly scale our product line
• Ensure effective rollout of new products across the platform; package and position ideas and products in ways that uniquely appeal to consumers
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:
• 7+ years’ prior experience in a product owner, product manager, or senior business analyst role
• 2+ years in a managerial role
• Excellent understanding of Agile Values and Scrum Methodology
• Excellent ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Excellent ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments
• Excellent ability to handle a heavy workload with multiple projects and frequent interruptions
• Excellent ability to work in a changing, dynamic environment
• Excellent understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Excellent attention to accuracy and detail, while still results oriented
• Excellent knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology practices
• Excellent problem solving, conflict resolution, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Experience with business analysis, documenting use cases or requirements gathering
• Ability to mentor and coach fellow employees
• Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science, or equivalent work experience
